First Presbyterian Church presents Wednesday Brown Bag Lunch Lecture Series for May’s National Mental Health Month
Downtown workers and the general public are invited to bring their lunch (drinks will be provided), to First Presbyterian Church’s dining room at 406 N. Main just north of the Coronado, on each Wednesday in May from 12:10 to 1 p.m. Area mental health professionals will be speaking on various up-to-date mental health topics. Topics covered include:
May 6: Mitch Davenport, MS, LCPC, Associate Director, Mildred Berry Center, speaking on the ACE Study- how adverse childhood experiences can affect us well into adulthood.
May 13: Jim Davies, L.C.S.W., Behavioral Therapist, Rockford Memorial Hospital Behaviral Medicine and Private Practice, speaking on “Managing Your Stress in These Tough Economic Times”.
May 20: Vicki Tronc, Director, Center for Mental Health, Swedish American Health System, speaking on “Depression and Bipolar Disorder”.
May 27: Laura Moski, LCSW, Behavioral Therapist, Swedish American Health System, speaking on “Your Child’s Mental Health- Is Professional Help Needed?”
