Rockford Health System recently named Marcia Stalter, a Child Life Specialist, our 2008 Employee of the Year. She was selected from 12 outstanding candidates who had earned Employee of the Month awards throughout the year. Marcia is an exemplary role model who demonstrates the Rockford Health System values of integrity, collaboration, adaptability, responsibility, excellence and compassion.
Marcia’s career at Rockford Memorial Hospital began more than 30 years ago. She works in the Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Units and is an expert in child development, who promotes effective coping through play, preparation, education, and self-expression activities. She has made hospitalization easier for thousands of children throughout her career.
