Rockford Health Physicians recently announced it will expand into the fast-growing Boone County community of Poplar Grove.
Kevin Ruggles, M.D., Chief Physician Executive, said the organization plans to move into vacant space at Countryside Square, located at 13510 Julie Drive, and open in early to mid-October. Patients can begin making appointments in late September.
The new medical clinic will serve both the adult and pediatric populations of the community. Internist Daisy Chacko, M.D., and pediatrician Trish Moody, M.D., as well as a nurse practitioner will staff the facility. The clinic will also offer lab and X-ray services.
“Boone County is the third fastest growing county in the state of Illinois, and we feel the medical needs of the people of Poplar Grove are currently being underserved,” Dr. Ruggles said. “Additionally, we have many patients from the area who travel to our Belvidere and Rockford offices and this will make it more convenient for them.”
This is the ninth medical clinic operated by the 160-member physician group, which also has offices in Rockford, Loves Park, Roscoe and Winnebago.
