Home care offers a wide variety of health and supportive services provided in the comfort of your own home. The goal of self-care and independence is promoted and encouraged to enable the patient to remain at home, avoiding excessive hospital and nursing home care.

Home health care's primary objective is to teach the patient and family the necessary care to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Patients and families receive instruction about medication, treatments, diet and exercise. Home health care is care that is meant to be short-term.

VNA is licensed to provide home health services in the following counties: Winnebago, Boone, western McHenry, northern DeKalb, Ogle and eastern Stephenson.
