The Brain and Spine Center at Rockford Health System offers Rockford’s first, fully-integrated Primary Stroke Program. Our goal is to provide Rock River Valley residents with the finest stroke-related care.

Recognized by HealthGrades – the nation’s leading independent rating system in health care – for providing five star treatment to stroke victims, our Primary Stroke Program is a coordinated effort to care for patients across the continuum of Rockford Health System. This specially trained team includes neurologists, neurosurgeons, nurses, emergency services, EMS/REACT, hospitalists, Van Matre HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, and Visiting Nurses Association.

From the moment the patient seeks help for symptoms, until he or she returns home, we will provide your loved one optimal care.

 

 

 

Brain and Spine Center

The Brain and Spine Center at Rockford Health System combines neurology and neurosurgery in one location.  Rockford Health System has outstanding neurologists and neurosurgeons, to provide the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art care possible for stroke; seizure disorders; craniospinal trauma; movement disorders, such as Parkinson's Disease and Tremor; Multiple Sclerosis; Migraine headaches; Balance disorders; spinal problems, such as disc herniations, spine tumors and arthritis; and nerve and memory disorders, such as Alzheimer's.

Consultation, support and treatment for children and families struggling with development and learning disabilities; Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity; and Communications Disorders including Autism, are also offered.
